Step-by-step guidance for DIY installers — panel mounting, racking, wiring, inverter commissioning, and battery hookup. We walk you through every phase.
Troubleshooting & Diagnostics
Error codes, inverter alarms, low production, battery issues — our technicians help you diagnose the root cause and walk you through the solution.
Remote Monitoring Support
Help setting up your monitoring portal and mobile app. Review production data, battery state, and grid export — and get alerts when something needs attention.
Performance Reviews
Periodic system performance checks to ensure your system is producing at expected levels. We review output data, compare against projections, and flag any underperformance.
System Upgrades & Expansion
Adding panels, a battery bank, or upgrading your inverter? We assess your existing system, confirm compatibility, provide an updated design, and support the full upgrade.
Quality Checks & Maintenance
Routine maintenance guidance — panel cleaning, connection checks, battery maintenance, inverter firmware updates — to keep your system running at peak performance.
Solar Savings Estimator

How Much Can You Save?

Enter your province and monthly electricity bill. We'll estimate your system size, annual savings, grid sell-back revenue, and full 25-year ROI — based on your province's actual electricity rate and net metering rules.

  • Recommended system size in kW for your bill
  • Annual savings from solar self-consumption
  • Sell-back revenue in net metering provinces
  • Payback period accounting for rising rates
  • 25-year cumulative ROI projection

Estimates are based on average provincial electricity rates, typical Canadian solar irradiance (1,100–1,350 kWh/kW/yr), and published net metering programs. Actual results vary by roof orientation, shading, and usage profile.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I connect my APsystems ECU-R to Wi-Fi?

Download the EMA app, set the ECU-R to AP mode by holding the button for 3 seconds, connect your phone to the ECU-R Wi-Fi, then enter your home network credentials in the app. A full guide is in the product resource library.

My inverter is showing an error code — what do I do?

Note the exact error code and submit a support ticket on our Product Support page. Include your inverter model, serial number, and a photo if possible. Common codes are also listed in the manufacturer support sites above.

How do I set up Time-of-Use scheduling on my inverter?

Most LuxPower and Sol-Ark inverters have ToU scheduling in their app or web portal. Set discharge periods to align with your province’s peak-rate hours. Contact us for a custom schedule recommendation for your area.

What certifications do I need for a Canadian permit?

Canadian permits typically require UL1741 for inverters, UL1703 for panels, and CSA for racking. All equipment we sell carries the necessary certifications, and we can provide certification documents on request.

What warranty comes with my solar equipment?

Panels carry 25-year power warranties and 12–15 year product warranties; inverters typically 5–12 years; LiFePO₄ batteries around 10 years or thousands of cycles. Exact terms are on each product page and in the certification documents.

Do you offer installation, or are systems DIY?

We supply equipment and full technical support for DIY installers and electricians — installation guidance, wiring, commissioning, and setup. For a licensed local installer, reach out and we can point you in the right direction.

How do I size a system for my home, cabin, or farm?

Start with the Solar Savings Estimator above, or send us your monthly kWh usage and goals. We’ll recommend a matched system — inverter, panels, batteries, and racking sized together for your load and location.

Can I add more batteries or panels to my system later?

Yes — most of our hybrid inverters and stackable LiFePO₄ batteries are designed to expand. Tell us your current setup and we’ll recommend compatible add-ons, or check our Bundles page for expansion kits.
