Welcome to Neighborhood Solar Store. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website and the purchase of any products or services from us. By browsing this site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Neighborhood Solar Store is a Canadian-owned and operated supplier of solar equipment and complete systems, based in Saskatchewan and shipping across Canada. References to “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Neighborhood Solar Store.
You agree to use this site only for lawful purposes and not to interfere with its operation, attempt to gain unauthorized access, or use it in any way that could damage or impair the site or the experience of other users. All content on this site — text, images, logos, designs and layout — is our property or used with permission and may not be copied or reused without written consent.
We work to keep product descriptions, specifications, images and pricing accurate and current. However, errors may occur, and specifications provided by manufacturers may change without notice. All prices are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD) and are subject to change at any time. Taxes and shipping are calculated at checkout. We reserve the right to correct any errors and to change or discontinue products at any time. Some items are special-order or subject to availability.
Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase. We reserve the right to accept or decline any order, to limit quantities, or to cancel an order (for example, in the case of a pricing error, suspected fraud, or stock unavailability), in which case any payment taken will be refunded. Payment is processed securely through Shopify and its supported payment providers. By submitting an order you confirm that the payment information you provide is valid and that you are authorized to use it.
Shipping timelines, freight handling, and delivery terms are described in our Shipping Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Delivery estimates are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed. Risk of loss passes to you upon delivery. Any transit damage must be reported as set out in the Shipping Policy.
Returns and refunds are handled in accordance with our Returns & Refunds Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
All products are covered solely by the applicable manufacturer’s warranty. Neighborhood Solar Store does not provide any additional or independent warranty on the products it sells. Apart from items reported as damaged in transit within the timeframe and process described in our Shipping Policy, we do not offer any warranty beyond the manufacturer’s warranty for the item. Warranty claims for defects or performance are made under the manufacturer’s terms; we are glad to help direct you to the appropriate manufacturer support and resources.
Except as expressly stated, products are provided “as is,” and to the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all other warranties, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
Solar and electrical equipment must be installed, connected, and commissioned safely and in compliance with all applicable laws, including the Canadian Electrical Code and any provincial, municipal, and utility requirements. Grid-connected systems typically require permits, inspection, and utility approval. You are responsible for ensuring your installation is performed by a qualified and, where required, licensed electrician, and that all permits and approvals are obtained.
Any system designs, wiring diagrams, guidance, or technical support we provide are offered in good faith as a helpful reference based on the information you give us; they do not replace on-site assessment, professional engineering, or a licensed electrician’s judgment. You are responsible for verifying that any design suits your specific site and conditions. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Neighborhood Solar Store is not liable for installation work, code compliance, permitting, or any loss, injury, or damage arising from the installation, use, or misuse of products.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Neighborhood Solar Store, its owners and staff shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or use, arising out of or related to your use of the site or products, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the product giving rise to the claim.
Information you provide is handled in accordance with our privacy practices. We use your details to process orders, provide support, and respond to enquiries, and we do not sell your personal information.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Saskatchewan and the applicable laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the courts of Saskatchewan.
